چکیده

Background: Responsive Neurostimulation (RNS) has proven efficacy in the treatment of medically resistant epilepsy as an intracranial system that detects, records and treats seizures automatically. No information exists pertaining to artifact characteristics RNS findings scalp EEG. Methods: A 30 year-old female was diagnosed, using electroencephalography (iEEG), with refractory bi-insular epilepsy, unknown cause. Due her large number focal unaware non-motor frequent progression bilateral tonic-clonic, she implanted (RNS). Results: During EEG recordings, a prominent seen corresponding automatized discharge suspectedly evoked by trying minimize epileptiform activity case. Figure 1 2 depict these findings. Conclusions: The not been previously described scientific literature. These must be identified better characterize role seizure visible on recordings.

Localized component filtering for electroencephalogram artifact rejection.

Blind source separation (BSS) based artifact rejection systems have been extensively studied in the electroencephalogram (EEG) literature. Although there have been advances in the development of techniques capable of dissociating neural and artifactual activity, these are still not perfect. As a result, a compromise between reduction of noise and leakage of neural activity has to be found. Here...

Automatic Artifact Removal from Electroencephalogram Data Based on A Priori Artifact Information

Electroencephalogram (EEG) is susceptible to various nonneural physiological artifacts. Automatic artifact removal from EEG data remains a key challenge for extracting relevant information from brain activities. To adapt to variable subjects and EEG acquisition environments, this paper presents an automatic online artifact removal method based on a priori artifact information. The combination o...

Alzheimer ’ s Electroencephalogram Event Scalp and Source Localization

Alzheimer’s disease is the most common cause of dementia which causes a progressive and irreversible impairment of several cognitive functions. The aging population has been increasing significantly in recent decades and this disease affects mainly the elderly. Its diagnostic accuracy is relatively low and there is not a biomarker able to detect AD without invasive tests. Despite the progress i...

Improved ballistocardiac artifact removal from the electroencephalogram recorded in fMRI.

The simultaneous recording of electroencephalogram (EEG) and functional magnetic resonance image (fMRI) is a promising tool that is capable of providing high spatiotemporal brain mapping, with each modality supplying complementary information. One of the major barriers to obtain high-quality simultaneous EEG/fMRI data is that pulsatile activity due to the heartbeat induces significant artifacts...
